Chooo Chweeeettt friends..
I would really like to say "The wait is over!!!" but not yet.. I have been waiting for almost 2 weeks to receive a package sent by my parents for the new year (OK.. Smarty!! I know what you are thinking.. I'm not talking about January 1st new year.. I meant Telugu (my mother tongue) New Year!!!).. Our doorman gave me the package, Finally!!!.. I didn't fail to express my excitement looking at the package (I'm sure the doorman must have had a thought, "hell.. whats wrong with this lady today!!").. I assumed that the package is from my folks and with all the excitement, I failed to notice the details on the package till I reached home..
It just totally slipped my mind that while I was jogging, Dubs (an awesome friend of mine from TX) called to let me know that he had sent a sweet pack to me just like that (YEAH, I know what your thinking and I totally agree, We do need more friends like him in this world to share the sweets and take care of friends:)).. He was also worried whether he sent it to the right address as his tracking information showed that the parcel was delivered to our address but received by some unknown person.. After consoling him that its our doorman, I continued my jogging routine.. :) With the mixed -up thoughts of eating sweets after a tiring jogging session and opening up the parcel to uncover the surprise gifts from my folks, I think the long wait took over.. I was reallyyyy busy dreaming about what could be inside - dresses or indian snacks or WHAT!!!! As I was walking up the stairs, I noticed a new name in SENDER column of the package.. Still clueless about what is in the parcel, I opened it only to see a biggg sweet box and a spice snack packet.. Turns out that my Dubs's parcel won the competition of reaching its destination before the other one...
Sweets were packed in a very nice manner.. I opened it and saw 14 different types of sweets (total of 28 sweets as Dubs assumed that I will share the sweets with Sel..).. I started tasting one of each type and Goshhhhhh!!! It just melted in my mouth... Sugar was at its perfect level - nothing more nothing less... It was just the right amount one would expect..I really enjoyed the sweets and to be frank, Sel was lucky enough to get his share of sweets.. As soon as Sel came home, we started taking the sweets as if that was our dinner.. Then understanding the injustice done to the spice-snacks, I started having spice-snacks with coffee.. As it was bit spicy, took sweets to compensate the spice level... Then to compensate the amount of sweet intake, took spices... and TADAAAA... Sweets got over... And spice-snacks followed it...:) I know its hard to believe, but check the pictures - Only then you will understand how irresistible they were :)

As we had too much of sweets and spices, Sel and I felt guilty that we just had soup and salad for next day's lunch.. Things were pretty smooth, till I received another package.. Didn't assume that it's from my parents, as I was checking the tracking information of the package and this time I knew for sure that it wasn't from my folks.. SENDER column had the same name and I was quite surprised..:) Turns out that Ashu (another wonderful friend of mine from TX) sent me those just as he promised me quite a while ago!!! But since he sent us the same type of sweet box, Sel and I gave our second best performance to empty the box (we were experts by then!!).. :)
Sel and I really enjoyed the sweet-eating-sessions, Special Thanks to Dubs & Ashu.. They are choooo chweeeeetttttt (also known as "So Sweet"..:)) and so very thoughtful.. Though I introduced them to the website, they have proved their efficiency by using the website to send more and more sweets.. They have shown to the world that the long distance really doesn't matter to feed your friends... :) Sel and I thanked them every time we took a sweet from the box.. May God bestow his blessings on them.. AMEN!!!
But after emptying the boxes, Sel and I promised to stay away from all the sweets at least for the next two weeks. :) God bless us!!!

Days like "TODAY"!!!
Its been quite some time since I logged on to my blog site.. I have been a bit lazy lately.. Don't know whether the back to back interviews (for which no one is ready to call me for the results!!!) are weakening me down, but it has been trying to pull me down lately.. But Sel has always been very supportive and he makes sure that my motivation level stays high all the time.. Love you Sel for everything.. It has always been easy for me to succumb to my emotions when I go through a tough situation (BELIEVE ME - I'm not at all proud of this fact) and it has always been Sel to pull me out of such emotional experiences.. Love you more dear... You are everything I can ask for and I love you for everything you are...
I was expecting a result-announcing-call from the last interview I attended.. Do interviewers in companies really care about the interviewees?? Why can't they just call me and let me know the results ON the day they promised me to call? I was waiting for their call from morning and now at 11.30 pm, I really wish they had called..
On days like today,
I hope - to get what I want..
I wish - that Sun had stayed a bit longer..
I wish - that I had power to overcome my emotions..
I wish - that the heaviness in my heart has lightened..
I wish - to crush the anger feelings to bits and pieces ..
I hope - that one day I will get a chance to sing "on a day like today, The sun's gonna shine, shine through the rain...."
"The serenity prayer" comes in handy to handle such days!!!
God, Grant me the serenity - to accept the things I cannot change;
the courage - to change the things that I can;
And the wisdom to know the difference.

My Best Friend's Wedding
It's my Best Friend's wedding on March 4th.. I wish I had been there to share this wonderful moment with him.. But I wasn't able to attend his wedding because of my visa stuff.. I would really like to promote "WORLD CITIZENSHIP" for everyone so they can go wherever they want to and whenever they want to.. hmmmmmm.. For people who do not know Kumz, he is a wonderful human being.. He is gifted with "PATIENCE"!!! Given a chance, even God might ask him about that!!:)
Nearly 3 years ago, when I joined Cert department, Kumz was one of the Senior (YEAH right.. with 1.5 years in Aircraft Industry) Engineer who taught me almost everything listed under "Materials Engineer Responsibilities" column in my offer letter.. In short, he was my "Technical Guru".. But a strange thing about this guy is that he doesn't maintain eye-contact.. I will ask him something and he will answer my questions promptly but he would be looking at the ceiling or at something placed far in the hallway!! Initially, I thought he is hard headed.. But turns out that he isn't that comfortable talking to girls (especially strangers!!!) except his cousin sisters (he told this after we became very good friends).. But we didn't have many experienced Engineers to teach us. So, I bugged him with more and more questions and eventually we started talking (let me put it this way - HE started talking).. Being a very friendly (and of course a talkative) person, I didn't have any difficulties expressing my opinions or pulling his legs.. He would just smile for any leg pulling sessions and that's it... Half the time, it was like "Is it even worth pulling this guy's legs".. But I kept on going and he probably found it very difficult to shut me up!! Initially, we used to talk about food.. Names the same food shared in different territory, foods with same name prepared in different ways - You name it, we would have discussed about that in "FOOD" genre..
Then we really enjoyed sharing our nostalgic thoughts... events from school, colleges.. It was really great and we had a wonderful time talking about all freaking things from our childhood.. It was awesome... We then became very close friends... Our carpooling sessions were just wonderful... He put up with all my torture of playing the same song again and again for zillion times and at times he ended up to listening to my very own voice..:) I really had fun during these times, when we talked about everything and everyone at work..
I do hate him when he keeps things to himself.. Even if he wants to advice on something, he would never voice it out.. We talked about this thousand times but I don't think he will ever give up his style of "keeping-to-himself"...
Best part about this friendship is that we both didn't have anything in common.. I was hyper, he was well composed (and confused at times!! :)).. If I'm in a comfort zone, I don't mind initiating a conversation with a stranger, but this guy wouldn't, even if someone gives him a fortune.. I am very short tempered, he doesn't have that in his dictionary.. I need a break after 12 hours of work, this devil can go on for 2 days of work without a break.. and the list goes on and on... One should feel very lucky and should thank their stars if they find a friend who is capable of understanding and caring and sharing - Here I'm thanking my stars for such a wonderful friend who is crazy at times!!..:)

We molded this friendship with understanding and adjusting skills..:) He is also capable of surprising you by expressing his deep thoughts which might be shocking and which might hit you hard!! Once, he threw me off the bench by expressing his interests to adopt me as his sister !!! Do I need to say more about shocking surprises!!! :) I wouldn't say this friendship was perfect all the time and that we never had opinion differences.. That would be a big fat LIE!! We had some ups and downs in this friendship.. We fought many times about the same thing due to opinion differences, we hated each other at times due to the fact that we didn't hear what we wanted to - but by end of the day, all is fair in friendship...:) We thanked each other so many times for the friendship we share.. I know it sounds weird, but thats true..:)
Now, talking about the one he is gonna get married to - Vibhs.. I haven't met her personally.. But from all my communication with her through emails and calls, I can assure that she is a very sweet person.. She is very bubbly and I am sure that she is doing her best in spreading her enthusiasm .. She was very excited about the marriage (I saw that excitement in all her emails) and was very keen to get to know about Kumz just to make sure that she understands him.. She is a wonderful girl.. She didn't hesitate even a bit when Kumz gave the phone to her - EXACTLY opposite to Kumz's character.. :) Together, they both make a perfect and wonderful and adorable couple.. I can't wait to see them..
May God bless this wonderful couple with all the happiness..
Kumz - You are a most wonderful person and a great friend.. My heartfelt wishes and Congratulations to the two of you..Wishing you both a very happy married life.. :)

Valentine's day celebration
This year's Valentine's day was a very special one.. it was our first V-day after marriage. But everyday should be a special day for people in love.. So, we didn't plan on anything special this year. However, we decided to join a team which had plans for Skiing.
So, after proper planning for almost a day (by Sel's friend), we all (YEAH. people count of almost 12 - 16) decided to start at 9 am. After few plan hiccups, we left home at around 11.30 am. I was hungry already!! After few unwanted exit stops, we went to Panera Bread for lunch.. Had my favorite after a longggg time (Used to have my brunch at Panera on all saturdays while I was in TX). Had Chai Tea - yummmyyyy. Didn't know that I missed Panera's food this much!!!
We started again. Our driveway to Skiing mountains was just awesome.. Road was filled with white snow - it was just like white clouds thrown on sideways... We really enjoyed the sight..
We reached the mountains. Got the big-skiing-boots, poles and ski. It was heavy for real!! I wasn't able to walk with those boots. Sel had been to Skiing before. So, he taught me a little bit. First time, it was a gentle slide.. like the breeze. I gained a little bit confidence from this slide. So, I decided to take it to the next level, slide from a taller spot. So, I started and then lost control.. Sel didn't teach me how to stop (probably he thought that skiingwill do something that he can't - push me down..:) ). A couple far from the start point, probably enjoying the sight of their daughter skiing, served as a stop point.. Ran into them - actually in between them.. Pulled the mom with me. Didn't know what to do or how to get up.. Kept on asking Sorry to this poor mom. Then an old lady helped me. Attended a class for skiing (teacher was awesome. but he took a lot of time to teach us.. hmmm..) Then did skiing for sometime.. But my hands were frozen after an hour or so.. It started paining, so took a break... Then, when I started back, I think I got scared of the heights.. It's not about the fall (because almost everyone there fell down trying to ski and I really love such place where one doesn't have to feel embarassed to fall).. But, I know that I can't stop even with the techniques they taught me - thats the fear.. Fell a couple of times after that (yeah... fallin down happened even while I was climbing up the mountains).. Then, we decided to start. Removing the boots was another challenge. It was difficult than my high school calculus!!!! Then we stopped for a wonderful dinner..
By the time we came home, I was more than happy to call that a day and crash onto bed for a wonderful sleep..Next day morning, got the feedback of all fall-downs... Ooohh.. aahh.. ouchhhhh - wasnt able to move my hands..!!!..But, it was really fun and I had a really good time... Everyone should try skiing once.. After all, we are the ones who pay to fall!!!
